If your project is selected as a winning activity, you will receive a wide range of benefits, including fully covered attendance to the 2015 UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, France; access to policy makers and potential funders during the conference; public recognition by the UN Climate Change secretariat; public relations support and media training; high-quality promotional videos and podcasts; a dedicated page about your project on our website; and graphic assets such as infographics and professional photography.

How to apply?

To start a new application, register in our online application portal. It will take at least an hour to complete an application but you can save your progress at any time and work on it at your convenience. Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, 24 April 2015.

Each year, Rotary funds some of the world's most dedicated and brightest professionals to study at Rotary Peace Centers. Through training, study, and practice, Rotary Peace Fellows become leaders and catalysts for peace and conflict resolution; many go on to careers in national governments, NGOs, the military, law enforcement, and international organizations like the United Nations and World Bank.

Applications for the 2016-17 Rotary Peace Fellowship program are now being accepted. The deadline for applicants to submit applications to their district is 31 May. Districts must submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation by 1 July.

Call for Applications: Additional Support to the Health Partnership Community – Round 2

THET is pleased to announce a call for applications for additional Health Partnership Project grants

The grants form part of the Health Partnership Scheme (HPS), which is a six-year programme that funds health partnerships to carry out training and capacity-building projects in low- and middle-income countries. The Scheme is funded by the UK Department for International Development and managed by THET.

This funding opportunity is to offer a further round of additional support to the health partnership community. It is intended to fund projects strengthening the capacity of the developing country’s health services. All those considering applying should carefully read the eligibility and funding criteria contained in the Grant Overview as these differ from those in previous grant streams.

All established health partnerships are welcome to apply.

 **Core Eligibility**

The core requirements for the Additional

 Support to the Health Partnership Community – Round 2 grants are:

• Grant recipients are eligible institutions (see Grant Overview)
• Applications must be made by established Health Partnerships
• Projects must be operating within low- or middle-income countries
• Letters of support from each institution must be submitted along with the application

 Funding Available

There are two tiers of funding:

A - £10,000-£99,999

B - £100,000-£200,000

 Pre-application webinar

Applicants are invited to attend a pre-application webinar that will run through

the application process and project planning. The webinar will be held on two

 occasions: the first is scheduled to take place on Friday 27th February and

 the second on Tuesday 3rd March, from 12 to 1:30pm GMT.

 Medical equipment grant application webinar

 A further webinar will be held on Monday 2nd March from 12 to 1:30pm GMT

 specifically for medical equipment grant applicants, who are invited to apply

 within this grant stream. Such grants would be those that focus on strengthening equipment

 maintenance and management capacity, rather than the provision of medical equipment.

We ask that relevant applicants register for this webinar in place of the above pre-application webinar

Funding will be allocated by THET following:

1. Submission of a project outline and letters of support
2. First selection group meeting (shortlisting)
3. Meeting with THET HPS Team to further develop project 
4. plan and budget, and submission of further documents
5. Final selection group meeting
6. Awards made against defined criteria

وشمال أفريقيا (MENA) برنامج المنح الدراسية (أو MSP) الشرق الأوسط، ويقدم المنح الدراسية للمحترفين من عشرة بلدان. المنح يمكن استخدامها لدورات قصيرة في هولندا. ويتم تمويل البرنامج من قبل وزارة الشؤون الخارجية الهولندية.

ويهدف إلى بناء القدرات داخل المنظمات من خلال تمكين الموظفين من المشاركة في دورات قصيرة في مختلف مجالات الدراسة. تتوفر لدورات قصيرة مع مدة تتراوح بين عامين واثني عشر أسبوعا المنح الدراسية.

نطالب الحكومة العراقية بالرد على بيان الازهر ضد الحشد الشعبي

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

بعد الانتصارات التي حققها الجيش العراقي والحشد الشعبي والبيشمركة والعشائر من جميع طوائف وقوميات العراق عرب واكراد وتركمان ومسيح وصائبة ويزيدية في تحرير الاراضي  العراقية وتحرير بعض المخطوفين والنساء من ايدي الدعواش تخرج لنا جامعة الازهر بيبان  يدين فيه كل هذه الانتصارات وهذا التحرير مستغربين كل الاستغراب من جامعة الازهر لماذا لم يخرجوا بالسابق ببيان عندما اغتصبوا النساء في اغلب المحافظات وقتلوا الاطفال وهدموا الحضارات وهدموا المساجد وحرقوا دور العبادة وسلبوا ممتلكات  قوميات عاشت بالعراق منذوا مئات السنين ......وكل العجب بان جامعة الازهر لاتدين من قتل ابنائها في ليبيا او قطر وقتل ابناء مصر العروبة .ولكن بالقضية علامة استفهام ماذا اصابكم ياجامعة الازهر اليس انتم مسلمين تحققوا من الطرف الاخر لاتظلموه اليس  الاسلام علمنا بان نحكم بالعدل ؟؟

وبعد ما جرى من جامعة الازهر وبعض وسائل الاعلام  والمدعومة من اجهزة استخبارات غربية وعربية التي تريد للشعب العراقي الدمار 

نطالب الحكومة العراقية بالرد على تصريحات الازهر من خلال وزارة الخارجية وان لانكون خجولين في مواقفنا لانه سوف يحترم العراق ارضبا وشعبا اذا كانت حكومته قوية ..اضربوا بيدا من حديد كل من يريد لشعبنا الدمار

اعلموا باننا نحن العراقين من علمنا العالم على الكرامة والانسانية والغيرة العربية فلا ينافسنا عليها احد

عاش العراق حرا غيورا  لايقبل بالاهانة

الجامعة الامريكية بالقاهرة  تختتم برنامج "التنمية الاقتصادية" للأجيال القادمة في العالم العربي" المخصص لمنظمات المجتمع المدني وطلاب الدراسات العليا في عدد من الدول العربية ..

أختتم الخميس الماضي فعاليات البرنامج التدريبي  "التنمية الاقتصادية للأجيال القادمة في مصر والعالم العربي" بمشاركة  (20) متدربا  ومتدربة من قيادات منظمات المجتمع المدني وطلاب الدراسات العليا من ست دول عربية (مصر،اليمن،الكويت،سوريا،المغرب،العراق .)         

وأشارت الأستاذة  سماح جميل عبده المديرة التنفيذية لمركز اليمن لدراسات حقوق الانسان  والتي شاركت في هذا البرنامج  والذي انعقد في إحدى قاعات التدريب الخاصة ببرامج تدريب   القيادات العليا بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة في الفترة (من1-5 مارس 2015)  أن هذا البرنامج يأتي  ضمن برنامج التنمية الاقتصادية للأجيال القادمة في مصر والعالم العربي والذي تنظم كلية الشؤون الدولية والسياسات العامة بالجامعة الامريكية بالقاهرة، حيث شمل على مجموعة من المواضيع وهي الإطار القانوني والتنظيمي لحرية تداول المعلومات والمساءلة الاجتماعية والحوكمة وفن التفاوض مع الأطراف الفاعلة وكيفية إعداد التقارير المالية والاقتصادية والدور الاقتصادي للدولة في ظل آليات السوق.

وأضافت الأستاذة سماح جميل : أن المتدربين تعرفوا  خلال خمسة أيام على أيدي نخبة من الدكاترة والأساتذة المختصين في القانون والاقتصاد السياسي على مجموعة من القضايا في مواضيع حرية تداول المعلومات وإصلاح السياسات العامة ،  وقد جرى نقاشات مستفيضة بين المشاركين  وعصف ذهني وتفاعل وتبادل التجارب والخبرات فيما بينهم.

وقبل إختتام أعمال البرنامج التدريبي تم توزيع استمارة تقييم البرنامج للمتدربين وبعدها جرى توزيع شهادات للمتدربين بحضور طاقم برنامج تدريب القيادات العليا بالجامعة  الأمريكية بالقاهرة.

والجدير بالذكر أن برنامج تدريب القيادات العليا يتم بالتعاون مع مؤسسة كارنيجي في نيويورك وبشراكة منظمة كير الدولية - مصر وشبكة المساءلة الاجتماعية في العالم العربي والجمعية المصرية  الأمريكية لسيادة القانون.

ومن المقرر أن تعقد الجامعة مؤتمرا إقليميا بالقاهرة في الفترة من 20 إلي 21 مايو 2015،حيث سيتم دعوة جميع المشاركين بالبرنامج لقياس الأثر وتقديم دراسات حالات من مصر والدول العربية حول موضوعات البرنامج.
